The staff of Krebs Public Schools believes that the school's purpose is to provide each student with an appropriate education and the opportunity to acquire basic academic grade-level skills while developing positive emotional and social growth in a supporting environment. The staff ofKrebs Public School accepts the responsibility for instruction and guidance necessary to develop skills for accessing and processing information; for dealing with change; for thinking, reasoning, and problem solving;for developing creativity;and for positive human relationships in order to serve their community and society and achieve personal fulfillment. We believe learning is a lifelong process in which students are expected to take personal responsibility, that there are no limits on what students can learn, and that learning must take place in a nurturing, safe environment that recognizes the diversity of individuals while assuring equity for all. Through the education of its citizens, and the active involvement of the community, the staff ofKrebs Public Schools is committed to developing, improving and advancing the community.
We are pleased to inform you of a powerful new communication tool that is available for you to track student progress at Krebs School. The tool is an electronic gradebook(Wen-Gage Gradebook) and it is accessible on the web. See link below.
In the event of an emergency situation at school, we will use our automated parent notification system, SchoolReach, to give timely information. It is very important that we have all parent or guardian contact information up to date. If any of your contact information changes throughout the year, please inform the office so that our system will remain current. Thank you.
With changing times in education, the Oklahoma State Department of Education would like to inform parents about Child Find opportunities. "All children with disabilities, residing in the State, whether attending public or private schools, should be identified, located, and evaluated.” In Oklahoma, it is required that Child Find apply to all children who are suspected of having a disability and in need of special education and related services. We want to make everyone aware of this service that is provided to children with disabilities. It is free of charge throughout the State of Oklahoma. If you would like more information on child find, contact: Jan Seymour, Krebs Public School 918-426-4700.
